By train through the Giant Mountains
Day 1 – arrival
You will travel to the Polish Giant Mountains, where you will be warmly welcomed to your hotel for the next 4 nights.
Day 2 – By train from Silesia to Bohemia
Take the bus to Schreiberhau. From the local train station your first train journey starts in the 26 km distant Bohemia to Tanvald. The one-hour drive takes you past a wonderful landscape, via Jakobstall and Harrachov. The cross-border railway line was built in 1890-1900 and lay fallow for a long time before being rediscovered. At the station in Tanvald you will be picked up again by your own bus. Drive through the Jizera Mountains and across the Polish border to Bad Flinsberg. The popular health resort is surrounded by numerous spruce forests. You take a walk through the park and have the opportunity for a coffee break. In the afternoon return to the hotel.
Day 3 – By train from the Waldenburger Land to the Glatzer Bergland
After breakfast drive to Waldenburg. At the station, take the train to Glatz. On the almost two-hour drive, you will travel 54 km through a charming landscape, cross nine bridges and drive through three tunnels. Already in the year of construction 1879-1880 this route was enthusiastically accepted and still enjoys great popularity today. In Glatz you take a guided tour of the city and have the opportunity to visit the fortress. Afterwards your route will lead you back to the hotel via Bad Kudowa and Trautenau.
Day 4 – Giant Mountains
During the excursion, experience the highlights of the Giant Mountains. You will see the popular holiday resorts Hirschberg and Krummhübel and have the opportunity to visit the legendary Kochelfall, a picturesque waterfall in the Giant Mountains National Park as well as the stave church Wang. We also recommend a visit to the miniature park in Schmiedeberg. A walk through the Lower-Lower Silesia with all its historical sights in small format is always worthwhile. – Return to the hotel
